Inverclyde Council Education Services has Child Protection Guidelines and Procedures which all schools are required to follow. Education Services work very closely with other agencies namely Strathclyde Police, Social Work Services, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and the Children\u2019s Reporter to support children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Common responsibilities of all staff are to protect children from abuse and exploitation, to respond appropriately when abuse is identified, and to ensure whenever possible that all children are able to exercise their right to be raised in a warm, stimulating and safe environment with the support of staff, their families and carers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All adults who work in the school and required to undergo a Disclosure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At King’s Oak we believe that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 At all times our children\u2019s protection and welfare come first
\u2022 Our children have a right to be heard, to be listened to and to be taken seriously
\u2022 Consideration must be given to our children\u2019s gender, ethnicity, culture and religious beliefs in all matters and decisions affecting them
\u2022 Our children and their families have a right to be kept informed throughout any process affecting them<\/p>\n\n\n\n
