Hello there to our fabulous Primary 1s and your families!

Let’s start by saying that Mrs Boyle, Mrs McKeegan and Mrs Griffin are missing seeing all of your happy faces very much indeed!

We plan on keeping in touch with you all through the website, with weekly updates, and also on Twitter, with daily ideas and challenges! (@P1KilmacolmPS)

We hope you are all staying well and trying to enjoy some fresh air and exercise. We are all keeping in touch daily and trying our best to do the same!

This week we will be posting ideas on Twitter to help you to get into a new routine, with challenges for independence, outdoor learning and health & wellbeing as well!

You each should have a home learning pack and can access learning materials via the home learning link of the Kilmacolm Primary School website.

Please remember that your child does not need to complete every activity. This is a very challenging time for us all, therefore a focus on mindfulness activities, daily exercise creativity and reading might make sense for your child for now. With this positive foundation, learning can and will take place, even through the simplest of tasks.

We love child-led, self-directed play in Primary 1 and your wee ones will be resourceful and imaginative with the materials already in your home.

So please everyone, stay save, keep smiling and if you do choose to engage with any of our activities we would absolutely love to see and hear about it on Twitter!

Lots of love,

Mrs Boyle, Mrs McKeegan and Mrs Griffin
