{"id":926,"date":"2022-11-06T16:51:21","date_gmt":"2022-11-06T16:51:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/in\/inverclydeacademy\/?page_id=926"},"modified":"2023-05-23T12:32:20","modified_gmt":"2023-05-23T12:32:20","slug":"strive-for-five","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/in\/inverclydeacademy\/strive-for-five\/","title":{"rendered":"Strive for Five"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><span style=\"color: #ffcc00\">What is Strive for Five?<\/span><\/h1>\n<div>The Strive for Five programme\u00a0is a new initiative aimed at supporting pupils who have been identified as having the potential to achieve at least 5 National 5 Awards in S4\u00a0with the ambition to achieve 5 Highers in S5\/6. Our programme will run for selected pupils in S1\u00a0to S6\u00a0and involves their participation in 3 workshops run by Live-N-Learn over the course of this session which\u00a0aim to\u00a0provide them with the tools to overcome some of the challenges that young people face as they move\u00a0through the BGE and into the Senior Phase. For S4-6 pupils, the focus moves from resilience and the development of a growth mindset to study skills, time management and the development of a No Wrong Path approach to learner journeys beyond school.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Further support and challenge\u00a0in S1-3\u00a0will be provided in the form of supported study sessions and academic challenges posted on Teams.\u00a0In the Senior Phase, pupils and parents have already attended sessions run by our Higher Education partners and will also be targeted by classroom teacher interventions and supported study groups.
