The aim of the Parliament is to promote pupil leadership opportunities, enabling children to develop valuable communication, organisation and debating skills through key roles of responsibility and new experiences. Over the past 18 months, the Parliament has gone from strength to strength, having achieved so many positive things for our school:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0New Canteen Menus<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Mental Health Check-in stations<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Sports \u2018Try-Day\u2019<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Lunch passes for weekly clubs<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Bottle recycling<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Pupils working in the community at Clyde Conversations<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Visible Learning Focus Group<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Pupils signed up to work in partnership with other schools to improve teaching and learning<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Earth Day<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 The Thrift Shop<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Meetings with councilors<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 LGBTQ+ Bronze Award<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Garden Project<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 New football kits<\/li>\n<li>Cinema Night<\/li>\n<li>Homework Club<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you would like to join a group there is plenty of choice!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Autism Inclusion<\/li>\n<li>In the Community<\/li>\n<li>Equalities, School Communities<\/li>\n<li>Mental Health, MVP, Sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Sports Council<\/li>\n<li>Young Leaders of Learning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Pupil Parliament has been running in Inverclyde Academy for 6 years.
