S1 Modern Studies – Democracy

Democracy in action!

Our S1 Modern Studies superstars were busy creating their very own societies on an abandoned tropical island – not a real one sadly! They had to work in groups to come up with rules and laws but also consider what to do with anyone in the group who did not follow the rules… we can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t follow the rules! Our boys and girls were all very well behaved!

Once our stranded islanders had created their rules, laws and roles on the island they had to think about choosing a leader and making decisions as a group.

With leaders chosen, speeches written our S1 Superstars shared their learning with the class and a very impressed Miss Craig and Mr MacDougall.
