We\u00a0 understand that some children may require extra support to achieve their potential.\u00a0 We use a model known as the GIRFEC Pathway, which is used across Inverclyde, to support children and young people.<\/p>\n
If we observe that a child requires additional support, in any aspect of their learning and development,\u00a0 we will discuss these with\u00a0 parents and work together to develop strategies to try to support the child. It is important to remember that all children are individual and learn and develop at their own pace.<\/p>\n
To ensure that we are fully supporting a child’s needs we may seek support from partner agencies.\u00a0 We aim to be open and transparent with parents\/carers and will discuss any concerns\u00a0 before seeking support from another professional.<\/p>\n
We would encourage parents to speak with a member of staff if they have any questions or concerns about their child’s progress.<\/p>\n
