SQA Leadership Group Award information sheet

Looking to add something more to your certificate than academic awards?  If you are in S6 and leading an activity within school e.g. Young Enterprise, MVP, Music or Sports Leadership, you can gain a recognised qualification with the SQA and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Co-ordinated by the Business Studies Department, the Leadership Award develops knowledge of leadership skills, styles and qualities. It also encourages learners to respect the cultures and beliefs of others working alongside them. The award is designed for learners who take, or plan to take, a leading role in their activities and is awarded at Level 5 and Level 6.

In addition to your commitment to the activity you are leading, students are encouraged to attend class one period a week for group discussion, research and report production guidance and support.
