Our staff showcase their understanding of the importance of having a high quality language rich environment to support children\u2019s social interactions, to deepen and extent their vocabulary, supporting their mark making through creative and sensory experiences, provide extensive opportunities for early writing and reading and foster a natural love for stories, songs and books.<\/p>\n

Children will have maximum experiences to develop early writing skills\u00a0across the centre. Resources such as mark making, play dough, cutting, malleable resources and small world can support children with early writing skills.<\/p>\n

Children are offered a wide range of opportunities to develop their early writing skills both indoors and outdoors. Children have experiences to develop their early writing skills across sensory experiences and play.<\/p>\n

At Bluebird we recognise that children\u2019s mark making and early writing skills are not simply achieved through sitting down with pen and paper but through an extensive variety of experiences for children to strengthen their fine motor skills, hand eye coordination, manipulate small objects. In nursery this will include experiences for children to explore malleable resources, mark make, cutting tools, sewing, puzzles and jigsaws.\u00a0 We also recognise that children need opportunities to take part in physical that supports balance and coordination, helping children to develop the control and movement needed as foundations for writing.<\/p>\n
