January 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n

We interviewed Darcy and Callum from P5. They have been studying\u00a0the Scottish artist James Watt and they learned new techniques by blending colours.\u00a0They \u00a0have also \u00a0been looking at Robert Burns and they held a Burns’ Supper in the school with Glenfield care home. P5 have been doing the grid method in maths and have been playing countdown a lot! They have been reading ‘A Monster Calls’ by Patrick Ness and ‘Kensukes Kingdom’ by Michael Morpurgo. They have been really enjoying them. They have been creating agendas in I.C.T\u00a0 for the Burns’ Supper and in P.E they have been doing gymnastics\u00a0. Callum’s papa came in and played the guitar for the Burns’ Supper.<\/div>\n

October 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

We interviewed Leo and Ava from P5. We\u00a0asked them what they did in STEM week; Ava told us she liked making boats and Leo enjoyed Lego We Do with the STEAM team. They told us that in Math Week they played math related games. Leo and Ava liked making the Great Wave by Hokusai in art. Ava goes to Math Club and Leo wants to join Spanish lessons in P6. Leo has been enjoying home learning and Ava likes it also. Leo has been taking videos of his home learning and Ava brings it in to show the teacher. Leo and Ava are both going to the Halloween Disco. Leo is dressing up as Hollowhead from Fortnite and Ava is not quite sure of what she is going to go as.<\/p>\n

We interviewed Harry B and Alli from P5. Harry said he has settled in well and Alli said “It is 100% \u00a0AMAZING!!”<\/p>\n

There novel study is Kensuke’s Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. They said they are enjoying it. The book is about a boy getting lost on an island.<\/div>\n

In PE they are learning how your body works and in maths they are learning decimals.<\/div>\n

They both like their new teacher because she is fun and nice.<\/div>\n
