Primary 2 loved their visit from the vet! They learned how to look after animals and even got to try out some of the equipment!
P3a had a great morning making films with Chris Bradley from James Watt College. We can’t wait to see our films.
P3a had great fun being nurses. We listened for our heart beats and checked each other’s pupils!
Alyson, a veterinary nurse, visited several classes and told us all about her job. Here she is in P6/5. We learned about caring for pets, veterinary surgery and she even brought full surgical scrubs for us to try on!
Another dad in action… It was great to hear from so many parents this week! They shared their enthusiasm and skills and encouraged us to be motivated and determined to succeed…whatever path we choose!
Warning! This picture is quite gruesome…the skills of a special effects make-up artist on display in P7. Latex masks…
A huge thank you to PCs Helen and Laura for educating the children of P3b about your work! The children learnt a lot and loved trying on all aspects of a policeman and policewoman’s uniform!
Mary, a radiographer shared all about her job with various classes. Thank you very much!
Thank you to all our volunteers who have given us a glimpse into their world of work. Our pupils are discovering what it takes to be a Royal Marine, how much training is involved being a professional footballer, how to use a stethoscope to listen to a heartbeat, the dedication required to become a musician and many more.
