Meals are provided by Inverclyde Council Environmental & Consumer Services Catering Division whose mission statement is:<\/p>\n
Our aim is to provide a menu system, freshly prepared with health and cost a priority.<\/p>\n
The menus are compiled with Scottish Diet Action Plan as a priority and the menu is changed daily.<\/p>\n
There is a set cost of \u00a32.00. Payment is via ParentPay and more information on how this system operates is available from the school office. Children in P1-5 receive a free school meal. Children can choose soup and a main course or main course and pudding. A drink, salad and fruit are included in this cost.<\/p>\n
Those children who bring packed lunches have their meals along with the other children who remain at school during the lunch hour.<\/p>\n
Children of parents in receipt of one of the following benefits are entitled to a free midday meal:<\/p>\n
NB: The above figures may change in the spring, as may some of the terminology. Information and application forms for free school meals may be obtained from schools and Customer Service Centre, Municipal Buildings, Greenock, PA15 1LY. In addition such children will be entitled to free milk. Every effort is made to encourage children to choose their food sensibly. Vegetarian dishes are also available.<\/p>\n
