For ‘Writer’s Craft’ today we were looking at how adjectives can improve our writing.
We studied a piece of writing by JK Rowling and extracted all her fabulous adjectives to see how dull and boring the passage was without them.
For homework tonight we want you to improve or ‘up-level’ the following sentence:
The lady travelled into town to buy clothes.
Try to make this sentence as ‘juicy’ as you can!!!
What a busy week! After a few days settling in to our new class, everyone seems happy and ready to go.
In maths this week we have been practising our number work; place value, rounding and sequencing. Have a look at our photos below – we worked really well together in groups or pairs.
We have also decided on the class topic of SPACE!! We discussed what we want to learn and how we will go about this. To help us, we all made a mind-map. Have a look at the photos! We want to find out how stars are made, why Saturn has rings and what life is like for astronauts up in space. We all seem really interested in learning more about the work at NASA too. Lots of great ideas! Keep them coming.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend and see you on monday.
