Congratulations to Duncan Ball, Alasdair Risby, Josh Morrison and Grant Nixon for writing superbly this week in story writing. We did a piece of creative writing where we had to imagine what an object would say if it could talk. What stories might it tell? Who was its owner and what situations had they been in together? This was closely linked to our WWII topic; we could choose from a whole range of war-time objects that are kept in the museum at Fort George: gas mask, periscope, uniform, a lamp, a sun hat and a water-bottle.
Everyone did really well. We focussed on using similes, metaphors and onomatopoeia to make our writing exciting and interesting. Some people even attempted personification. Well done guys!
I hope everyone has a lovely easter holiday and see you all soon,
