  1. Friction slows down things when the item is rubbed against a surface. But different surfaces make the object travel slower or faster.
    e.g. A toy car would travel faster on a laninate floor than on a carpet.

  3. It is when a surface rubs against another surface and it almost feels like it is sticking together. When you magnify an object it is very bumpy and the bumps slot into each other when you rub them together.
