This term we are going to be finding out all about Inverness and the Jacobites.

These are some of the things we will be trying to find out :-

• What Inverness was like long ago?
• Why tourists come to Inverness?
• Who were the Jacobites?
• What happened at the Battle of Culloden?
• What were Jacobite soldiers like?

We are planning to visit Fort George and Culloden Battle Field later in the term.

What we’ll be up to nextweek.

The main activities will be:-

• working on using calendars
• learning about making opposites using prefixes like un and dis
• Looking at Europe and naming  of the main countries
• working on igh words for spelling.
