The library has been updating its information available through the school website.
In the library folder within the Department files under School Documents you can now find information about What’s on in the Library and Reading Recommendations.
You can also find a record of all our Books of the week. Book of the week is a new project we are trialling. We welcome recommendations for Book of the week from everyone. If you have read a book recently that has really touched you and you would like to share your views, please drop an email to Mrs Davidson meg.davidson@highlifehighland.com with the author, title and a couple of lines about why you liked the book and how it made you feel.
As well as updating our Book of the week each week we will also be posting a copy of the library timetable, so keep an eye on this space!

Building Work Update

Work on site got underway on Monday 28th July, two weeks later than planned due to last minute technical issues. This means that the work that was due to be completed during the holidays will not now be finished in time for the start of the new term on  the 18th of August.
When we return on the 18th we will be using the front car park for staff parking and bus and taxi drop offs only.  It should be entered from Culduthel Road and the exit is onto Culduthel Avenue (the same as we have always done). Parents should use Roller bowl, as agreed with Mr Yusaf, to drop off and pick up their youngsters. To access the school pupil, staff and visitors need to follow the designated pedestrian walkways which will be clearly signposted.
The new temporary car park and bus & parent drop off zones should now be ready by Friday 5th September (the end of the third week back).
The bike compound will be ready for pupils to use from the start of term.
Once the car park and drop off zones are ready and handed over to us we will lose the front car park and revert to the plan as issued before the holidays.
Thanks in anticipation of your cooperation and patience
