About

This blog is for the Young Women in Energy class at Banff Academy. The class are working towards a Skills for Work National 5 qualification in Energy.

This course is run by North East Scotland College (NESCol) and sponsored by Shell.

By the end of the course they will have

  • investigated the energy industries that power Scotland (including oil and gas)
  • built renewable energy solar and wind systems
  • practiced the important employability skills that employers seek
  • explored possible career options that STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) can offer
  • toured local companies that employ people for their STEM skills

We will showcase some of the work that we do on a regular basis.
