Although it is important to identify where we are now, it is not enough to stop there. We need to reflect upon how we can develop the skills where we are less confident and how we can transfer the skills in which we are confident and competent.

Activity 2

Complete the audit below, using the information from the table above.

 Self-discipline
To keep up to date with work and not allow things to distract me from completing work.
During my exams I used self-discipline so that I could study an equal amount for each subject and not be distracted. This worked as I ended up with very good results.
Manage time  To meet deadlines promptly.  All work I have completed for school and so far in university has been completed on time.
Organise and Plan  I will created plans detailing what I have to do and for when so that I can keep myself organised and on time.  I used study plans continuously throughout my school exams and doing this helped me to stay organised and prepared for the exams.

** This section should be completed as you identify when/where/how you have used/developed these skills.

Converse Confidently  I will take more opportunities to speak out so that I can get used to it and begin to feel more confident.  I have started to contribute more ideas in my peer learning group. Having people consider my ideas is helping me gain confidence when speaking out.
Act as a leader  By being more confident in my role I will begin to act more like a leader.  When asked to be  leader in my peer learning group I thought positive things about myself being the leader and started to fulfil my role more accurately.
