The Educational Psychology Service in Stirling currently trains adults in the Seasons for Growth programme. This training enables them to become ‘companions’ and to facilitate group work for children and young people.
The Seasons for Growth programme is a loss and grief peer-group education programme to support young people aged 6-18 years. The aim of the programme is to improve the social and emotional wellbeing of young people who have experienced life changes such as bereavement , parental separation and divorce or other significant losses. The programme has been evaluated extensively over the past 15 years nationally and internationally and has a strong evidence base.
