EAL in a Changing World<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This is a one day course aimed at EAL teachers and those working with pupils with EAL and their families in other services.<\/em><\/p>\n

Daniella Syme, Senior Lecturer, Strathclyde University<\/span> <\/strong>will present her research: Eastern European Young People in Brexit Britain.<\/p>\n

\u2018Here to stay?\u2019 is a research project which explores the lives of young people aged 12- 18 who migrated with their families\u00a0 from Central and Eastern Europe after EU enlargement in 2004. Daniella will explore how migration and current immigration policies are impacting on their lives and discuss how Brexit is impacting on their feelings of identity and belonging in the UK.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Professor Chris Williams, Emeritus Professor of Psychosocial Psychiatry, Glasgow University and Director of Five Areas Ltd. <\/strong><\/span>The \u2018Living Life to The Full\u2019 skills resources have been developed by Dr Chris Williams who is a medical doctor. He is also a member of the British Psychological Society and President of the lead body in cognitive behavioural therapy in the UK. He is an award- winning and widely recognised researcher and trainer in the evidence based cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
