Stirling’s Care Experienced Children and Young People’s letter to their Corporate Parents

Scottish Government released the Independent Care Review in Jan 2020. Followed by Scotland’s Promise to all care experienced children and young people and the easy read Pinky Promise.

CELCIS, the Centre for Excellence for Children’s Care and Protection in Scotland, released Looked After and Learning earlier this year.

The resource draws on decades of research and practice to highlight how to deliver a positive learning experience for every child, no matter their background. Teachers and educators can:

  • Understand the evidence – from academic literature, research, benchmarks from local authorities and practitioners to case studies
  • Understand what’s working elsewhere
  • Use the self-evaluation tool to identify areas where you are working well and areas where you could improve
