The logo also includes Education Scotland and Scottish Government logos.\" width=\"254\" height=\"254\" \/>The <a href=\"https:\/\/education.gov.scot\/professional-learning\/learn\/programmes\/building-racial-literacy\/\">Building Racial Literacy programme<\/a> aims to set anti-racism as a baseline professional value, empowering educators to identify and implement anti-racist behaviours and processes in their everyday practice. The ultimate goal of the Building Racial Literacy programme is to make every educator in Scotland racially literate, effective at dealing with racism and confident in leading anti-racism.<\/p>\n<p>To find out more about the programme and applications for the programme, please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/education.gov.scot\/professional-learning\/learn\/programmes\/building-racial-literacy\/\">this webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Three short videos have been created to tell the programme\u2019s story with participants from\u00a0<a title=\"cohort 1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fym76zPoVcE\" data-anchor=\"?v=fym76zPoVcE\">cohort 1<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"cohort 2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=S0qz3lUAB5w\" data-anchor=\"?v=S0qz3lUAB5w\">cohort 2<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a title=\"cohort 3\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NFIIyzpPmM4\" data-anchor=\"?v=NFIIyzpPmM4\">cohort 3<\/a>.\u00a0The poem by Tawona Sithole, <a href=\"https:\/\/professionallearning.education.gov.scot\/media\/2233\/seeds-of-antiracist-education-poem.pdf\">Seeds of Anti-Racist Education<\/a>, illustrates the importance of the professional learning programme. BRL+ will bring together some new collaborators as well as showcase innovative ideas and good practice from previous participants on the Building Racial Literacy programme.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anti-Racist Clubs:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this Anti-Racist Clubs webinar, we hosted a panel discussion of educators and young people who are members of anti-racist clubs in Scottish secondary schools. Nuzhat is a BRL alumna, primary schoolteacher and founder of the Global Citizenship Education website. Navan is a member of The Anti-Racist Educator collective and an expert in Critical Literacies.
