A tree shaped like a monster’s hands
stretches towards the light.
Dazzled
as the sparkling sun begins to brighten the landscape.
Sparse branches, thick branches overlap the scenery
reaching towards the sun as they dance in the wind.
A burst of colour flutters on by and there is constant sound –
buzzing bees
water rushing nearby and the birds
singing happily as they soar through the sky.
The smell lures me in
to explore the beautiful scenery further.
Nothing smells better than a crisp, clear Spring day.
