We have read about Winnie and Wilbur\u2019s adventures in winter<\/span><span class=\"s2\">\u26c4\ufe0f<\/span><span class=\"s1\">,on a flying carpet, with a big bad robot<\/span><span class=\"s2\">\ud83e\udd16<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, on a pirate ship <\/span><span class=\"s2\">\u2620\ufe0f<\/span><span class=\"s1\">and at a birthday party<\/span><span class=\"s2\">\ud83c\udf82<\/span><span class=\"s1\">.These have proved very popular and the children have joined in with counting to five or ten as they pretended to wave their wands <\/span><span class=\"s2\">\ud83e\ude84<\/span><span class=\"s1\">and say the magic word \u201cAbracadabra!\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">We have also been learning about the right way up to hold the books, the front cover, the back cover, the spine of the book and the blurb.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our author of the month for October was Valerie Paul and the children have been reading many of the \u201cWinnie and Wilbur\u201d books.
