They took turns to snip petals off using the scissors, or pluck then using their fingertips. One child said \u201cthis bit is really hard to cut\u201d when discussing the sunflower stem. We discussed the varying sizes and thicknesses of the flowers, as well as the different colours and textures. The children then spread PVA glue onto plastic lids and arranged their flowers on top. When dried, they were attached to some string and added to the tree as sun catchers.
