Happy New Year!<\/span>\u2764\ufe0f<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a busy week in our garden.<\/span>\ud83c\udf31\ud83c\udf3f<\/span>We discussed the cold weather and the children thought it would be a kind and very caring idea to make bird feeders.<\/span>\ud83e\udd76<\/span><\/p>\n

We felt they needed some food to help keep them healthy and warm inside!<\/span><\/p>\n

It was a real collaborative effort!<\/span>\ud83d\udc4f\ud83d\ude4c<\/span><\/p>\n

We used lard, bird seed and coconut shells!<\/span>\ud83e\udd65<\/span>Lots of mixing, stirring, mashing and turn taking!<\/span>\ud83d\ude4c\ud83d\udc4f<\/span>We listened carefully and followed up to 3 instructions! We were kind friends sharing the spoons and we chose which tree we wanted to hang our feeders on.<\/span>\ud83c\udf33<\/span><\/p>\n

I think you\u2019ll all agree our bird feeders turned out brilliantly!<\/span>\ud83e\udd29<\/span><\/p>\n

Can you see the pigeon having a good nibble at the feeder?!<\/span>\ud83d\ude4c\ud83d\ude4c\ud83d\ude4c\ud83c\udf33<\/span><\/p>\n

To add to our busyness we decided to get a fingers moving to keep us warm by doing lots of weaving with ribbons, rope and pipe cleaners to make our gates to outside all colourful <\/span>\ud83c\udf08<\/span><\/p>\n

As well making bird feeders and doing lots of weaving, the boys and girls have loved jumping in muddy puddles and breaking the ice when the puddles froze over <\/span>\u2744\ufe0f<\/span><\/p>\n

We also had a consultation meeting this week and the children decided they would like to develop an area at the bottom of the garden and create \u2018Animal World!\u2019<\/span>\ud83c\udf33\ud83d\udc3f\ud83e\uddab\ud83e\udd94\ud83c\udf33<\/span>We are at the very early stages and will post regular updates on the blog for you all to see how this area is taking shape!<\/span>\ud83d\ude4c<\/span>Children having autonomy and ownership over their own learning!<\/span>\ud83d\ude4c\ud83d\ude4c\ud83d\ude4c<\/span>#teamoakburn #responsible #creative #independent #confident #teamwork #collaborativeworking<\/span>\u2764\ufe0f\ud83c\udf33\u2764\ufe0f<\/span><\/p>\n

Week commencing 24\/01\/22…<\/span>\ud83c\udf33\u2764\ufe0f<\/span><\/p>\n

Look! We have added to our \u2018Animal World\u2019 area. The children felt the animals needed leaves and sticks so they could have comfy beds!<\/span>\u2764\ufe0f<\/span><\/p>\n

We also tied some ribbons to branches of the tree. One child said \u2018The ribbons will blow in the wind and the animals will enjoying looking at them!\u2019…<\/span>\u2764\ufe0f<\/span><\/p>\n
