This week in P1\/2, our main focus has been all about food! We loved reading the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar<\/i> together.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, we had a fantastic food tasting session. The children got to taste some of the foods from the story: apple, pear, plum, strawberry, oranges, a pickle, Swiss cheese, salami, a cupcake and a rocket leaf.<\/p>\n
We had a great time using our senses. The children talked about what each food smelled like, what it felt like, and used brilliant words to describe how they tasted.<\/p>\n
We are so proud of everyone, especially the children who were very brave and tried some foods they had never eaten before! Well done, P1\/2!<\/p>\n

MW – ‘I liked the strawberry.’<\/p>\n
MM – ‘I liked the cupcake,’<\/p>\n
EF – ‘I liked the leaf.’<\/p>\n
NP – ‘I liked the apple.’<\/p>\n
HT – “I liked the salami.”<\/p>\n
NN – “I liked the leaf.”<\/p>\n
SK – “My favourite food was the strawberry.”<\/p>\n
LP – “I liked all of the food!”<\/p>\n
HB – “I liked the salami”<\/p>\n
CR – “I liked the cupcake.”<\/p>\n
