What a busy and exciting week we have had in Room 4!<\/p>\n
Primary 1<\/strong>\u00a0have been enjoying learning all about\u00a0the farm. We read\u00a0A Squish and a Squeeze<\/em>\u00a0and had lots of fun learning the words to\u00a0Old MacDonald Had a Farm<\/em>. We also discovered the names of different farm animal babies and loved acting like the animals and making their different noises!<\/p>\n Primary 2<\/strong>\u00a0have been consolidating their learning of the\u00a0‘wh’ and ‘ph’ sounds. They worked together in lots of active and engaging ways to practise their common words, developing both their reading and writing skills.<\/p>\n In\u00a0Primary 1<\/strong>, we have been practising recognising, counting and forming the numbers\u00a03, 4 and 5. The children particularly enjoyed listening to the\u00a0Number Zoo<\/em> stories that go along with each number.<\/p>\n Primary 2<\/strong>\u00a0have been learning all about\u00a0partitioning numbers into tens and ones. They have also been exploring numbers that are\u00a0more than, less than and equal to. There has been lots of fantastic mathematical thinking and discussion!<\/p>\n We asked the children what they have enjoyed this week, and here is what they had to say:<\/p>\n It has been lovely to hear about all the different things that have made the children happy and excited about their learning this week.<\/p>\n On\u00a0Friday 11th September<\/strong>, a photographer from the\u00a0Evening Times<\/strong>\u00a0will be visiting us to take a\u00a0Primary 1 class photograph<\/strong>.<\/p>\n We will let you know as soon as we find out when the photograph will feature in the newspaper.<\/p>\n Have a lovely weekend!<\/p>\n Mrs Bryden and Room 4<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What a busy and exciting week we have had in Room 4!
