The children have been practising recognising this sound at the beginning and within words, as well as trying to use it in their own reading and writing. We explored a variety of fun activities to help reinforce this, including word matching, sounding out simple words and sharing words that feature the \u201cch\u201d sound. It\u2019s been wonderful to see the children becoming more confident in identifying and using this new sound.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In Maths, we have been consolidating our understanding of numbers up to 20. The children have been working on number recognition, ordering numbers and developing their counting skills. We\u2019ve also been using practical resources and games to support their learning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In P.E., we have been busy preparing for Sports Day. The children have been practising a variety of races, focusing on developing their coordination and speed.
