This week in Literacy, we have been consolidating all of the sounds we have previously learned. The children have been working hard to recognise these sounds and use them confidently. We have been practising blending sounds to read words and writing words independently. The children have shown great effort and growing confidence as they apply their learning.<\/p>\n
In Number, we have continued working on subtraction. The children have been learning that when we take away, the number gets smaller. We have practised counting back on a number line to help solve subtraction problems, using songs, games and practical activities to support understanding.<\/p>\n
