IOW<\/span><\/p>\n This week we have been doing IOW (which stands for Improving Our Writing) . In our first week we did fragments of a sentence like \u201cThe dog walked\u201d . We have been changing that into real sentences. In week two, we did run-ons. Run-ons are sentences that have no punctuation or connectives. We have been doing scrambled sentences which are words in a sentence that are jumbled up.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Maths<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In maths we have been doing revision of adding 3 and 4 digit numbers with the standard written method , we have also been exploring time and we are getting a lot better. We have just started problem solving using listing.<\/span><\/p>\n Spelling<\/span><\/p>\n This week our spelling rule has been words that start with AL and WEL. We have been practising our spelling words using strategies like pyramid spelling, hangman and more.<\/span><\/p>\n ART\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n For art we made European baubles to hang on our Christmas tree and made Christmas tree art.<\/span><\/p>\n PE<\/span><\/p>\n For PE we have been doing football and we have been doing matches, boys vs boys and girls vs girls to make the teams fair.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Thank you to Abbey, Alexa, Grace and Paris for writing this week’s post.
