Hi, we are Eilidh and Azaan the new Junior Road Safety Officers for our school.
Today we got to go to Chatelherault Country Park to the SLC JRSO Open Day and it was so much fun! We got to learn all about our new jobs and the things we might get to do this year. We got to ride bikes that powered a video clip, try out speed reaction tests, gather lots of leaflets and information about things we can try and use in school, we got to learn about HGV safety, we got to meet firefighters and see the equipment used to help in car accidents, we got to see inside a speed camera van and see how the camera works and we got to sit on a police quad bike too!
We’re looking forward to working with Miss Napier this year and can’t wait to get started!
