This week, Room 5 have been learning the phoneme, “mb”.

We discovered that this sound has a silent ‘b’ and usually comes at the end of a word, unless it is followed by a suffix -ed or -ing.

In maths, we have been extending our knowledge of column addition by using the method of “carrying over” when the numbers in our columns add together to make a number of 10 and above. Have a practice with someone at home!
