The First Week Back in Room 27

It has been a lovely first week of the new term in Room 27. We have loved learning more about autism as part of Autism Acceptance Week, with a special assembly, bake sale and dress down day. We had the pleasure of hearing from Mrs Graham’s son, Euan, who visited us on Wednesday morning. After a discussion about how we are all different, we came up with some important words that link to recognising this. We then used these to create some beautiful Spring art work.

In our Morning Clubs we are really focussing on the skills that we are developing through our play experiences. This week, these are the things we have highlighted:

“We were working together and had good teamwork when we challenged ourselves to build the tower.”

AR: “We were really developing our communication skills. I had to use my communication skills when working with a partner in the construction area.”

JD: “I have been learning how to run a business with the jewellery and bracelet shop.”

KE: “I have been working on my singing and performance skills by creating a show in the imagination area.”

AG: “I’m improving my confidence by performing to the class.”

Thank you for reading our blog, we hope you have a great weekend.
