This week in Room 6 we have been consolidating the ‘o_e’ and ‘i_e’ sounds. We have had lots of practice doing different active spelling tasks, enjoying the word searches and making our words using wooden letters and loose parts. We have been revising Addition and Subtraction, and Miss Riley focused on Time, learning o’clock and half past. This week was British Science Week, and we were so lucky to have a visit from the STEM leaders. They helped us to create our own Lava Lamps. Next week we will be starting a new sound ‘a_e’, continuing on with time and revising Multiplication and Fractions. A big well done to Nieve, our star writer this week and to Rishaan for getting our Class Mascot home. Today the weather was really nice, so we had some Reading time outside which was really fun!
We are looking forward to our school trip on Monday 24th March to the Wind Farm, and have enjoyed learning about renewable and non-renewable energy sources and what Wind Energy can power! Pupils should come to school wearing their school jumpers/cardigans and joggers/leggings on the bottom. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
