Our Week in Room 14

We have had a fantastic week in Room 14. We made very good progress  with our Class Charter. We were inspired by the book we read as a class, ‘The Lorax’ by Dr Seuss. Esme created an illustration and we created a spider diagram of ideas, after discussing the UNCRC. We spoke about what rights children have and what we will all do to ensure they have them while in school. We then chose the rights we felt were most important/relevant in our classroom, painted truffula tufts and tree trunks and stuck the rights to them. We enjoyed painting them and then all added our names to it. We then chatted about what makes us special/unique and decorated our own truffula tree with words we think describe us, e.g. brave, smart, funny, friendly, thoughtful. The trees were coloured in brightly and added to the class charter display. We hope you like the (almost) finished product! We will add the last few individual trees this week.
