P3 Kelvingrove Art Gallery Trip

Last Tuesday (17th May 2022), Room 10 along with Room 11, Mrs Robinson, Miss Gajree, Mrs Keenan, Miss Laird, Miss Higgins and Mrs Ferguson all visited Kelvingrove Art Gallery for our school trip.

We had the opportunity to further enhance our knowledge of The Ancient Egyptians through this trip. For our first activity, the pupils were given a pencil and booklet to draw and record important information about The Ancient Egyptians. The pupils were then spilt into two groups and were given the chance to look at The Ancient Egyptians artefacts on display as well as taking a closer look at, passing some artefacts around in a circle and listening to what each artefact was.

In class, the pupils have used IPADS to translate their name and chosen words into Hieroglyphics (Picture Writing). They have also used this writing to write chosen Spelling words/ words from their group text. These are on display and we cannot wait for you all to see them at our Open Evening this Wednesday (25th May 2022).
