- Practising our spelling words with playdough.
- Exploring different materials for building houses.
- Learning about how our digestive system works.
- Using our sense of touch to identify different objects.
- Finding out if our skin is waterproof or not on some lucky subjects!
Last week in Room 3, we took part in a lot of super fun and engaging activities for literacy, numeracy and SCIENCE of course for British Science Week.
We are working really hard to read and spell our common words and will be continuing to develop our confidence with this through different active tasks each morning.
We are beginning to link addition and subtraction facts and we even invented a new mathematical term called the ‘Backwards Switcharoo!’ This helps explain that if 3-1=2 then 2+1=3. Can you think of any more examples?
Finally, we were very excited to take part in lots of science activities. We explored materials and tried to build our own houses like The Three Little Pigs. We enjoyed having the STEM leaders in class who helped us to learn all about our bodies. We made our own digestive systems and used water balloons to find out if our skin is waterproof or not. Ask us what we found out!
