Wear it Bright 🌟💡

Room 5 dressed up today in fantastic bright and fluorescent clothing to highlight the importance of dressing brightly in the Winter months. We had everything from glow sticks to light up trainers. We discussed the importance of Road Safety in Winter and also completed some fun tasks. We designed our own hi-vis vests and also enjoyed creating bright outfits for a young cyclist. It was very difficult to choose but well done to Cal who won best dressed in Room 5! 🏅

This week we have also been trying really hard to spell our common words accurately. We enjoy playing ‘speed writing’ to see how many times we can write one of our common words in one minute. We also visited the library again this week to swap our books and we are enjoying silent reading in class each day. Our instant recognition of common words is improving when we read. Well done everyone! 😊

We celebrated another fantastic achievement today in Room 5. A huge congratulations to Ella who won the bookmark competition for the Primary 1-2 category. Ella’s bookmark encapsulated a love of reading and is now in the process of being copied and made into lots of bookmarks for our school library. Well done superstar! 📚🎉
