We have been making the most of Book Week Scotland and reading lots in class. On Tuesday, we had a visit from Mrs Kerr as our Mystery Reader.

We also received our Read, Write and Count bags at the start of the week and have been making use of them regularly in class.

Today, we enjoyed celebrating Children in Need and even got full marks in the school quiz!

Thank you to all the Boys and Girls in Room 12 for working hard as always and participating fully in the events at school this week.

We’ve had another busy week in Room 20!

With it being Book Week Scotland, we had a mystery reader come to our class on Tuesday to read part of their favourite book. It turned out to be Miss Hogg who read the opening chapter to Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone! The class really wanted to read my mystery reader book too (The Christmasaurus picture book that was read to room 2!) so we hooked up the visualiser on Wednesday and read the book together, with all the pictures being seen clearly on the big screen. We also designed bookmarks that will be entered into a competition to be printed and issued in our school library.

On Friday lots of us dressed up in yellow/spots/Pudsey/Blush clothing for Children in Need! We took part in a Pudsey quiz during assembly and then participated in a 30 min dance-a-thon in the afternoon. There were lots of puffed out faces!

Our Junior Road Safety Officers also created a powerpoint presentation and spoke at the assembly about the Be Bright Day we are holding next Friday (26th November). They did a brilliant job sharing all the information clearly and confidently with the school ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฆบ
