🦺 Be Bright Day 26th November πŸ”¦

November 30, 2021 by Miss Napier | 0 comments

On Friday 26th November, our Junior Road Safety Officers held a fabulous ‘Be Bright’ Day in the school and nursery. Our pupils learned about staying safe by the roads in winter by dressing brightly so that they can be seen. We encouraged all pupils to dress in bright/reflective clothing and accessories to raise awareness of this and each class, across the nursery and school, completed different activities too. The brightest dressed pupil from each class was awarded with one of our ‘Brightest Dressed’ goody bags and a certificate, while our nursery pupils each received a Ziggy reflective sticker for their efforts. Our staff got on board too, with some winning prizes too!

Take a look through our photos to see a selection of our brightest pupils and their hard work. Well done everyone! 😁

Be Bright, Be Seen!

November 26, 2021 by Miss Campbell | 0 comments

Hello Everyone!

Today we considered the importance of being visible when out during the darker nights. The children had great fun participating in the activities of the day and looked fantastic!

In Numeracy this week, we explored written methods for addition up to 1000 along with learning new multiplication facts. We even started work on measure due to the interest from the measuring tapes in our Read,Write and Count bags given out last week!

Next week, we will be covering lot’s of work for our topic. Β We look forward to sharing some of our learning with you soon.

Have a lovely weekend with your families. Remember to ‘Be Bright and Be Seen.’

Best Wishes,

Miss Campbell and Room 12

🎨 Art and Writing in P5/6 ✍

November 26, 2021 by Miss Napier | 0 comments

Over the last 4 weeks we have been using art as our stimulus for our procedural/information block of writing. We have been creating different pieces of art and then writing sets of instructions for them. Our final piece of art were these beautiful tinfoil printed woodland scenes and we competed the instructions for these this week.

I think they look brilliant and that the class have done an amazing job writing their instructions too πŸ‘
