Primary 5/6 have been learning how to talk about the weather in French.  Every week the children are asked ‘what is the weather like today?’ In order for them to answer confidently, we revised all the different types of weather and worked on our pronunciation.
The children enjoyed making weather wheels to help them practice and then used more vocabulary to build sentences about the weather in Scotland. For example:

’En Ecosse en hiver normalement il fait froid et il fait pleut.’

In Scotland in winter normally it’s cold and it’s raining.

Some of the children felt confident enough to read their sentences to the rest of the class.
