In Room 23 this week:

We learnt about the artist Rene Magritte and created our own surrealism artwork making sure we included Magritte’s signature bowler hat.

In Maths and Numeracy we focussed on place value. We looked at how we round numbers and we created place value tools to help us when multiplying and dividing numbers with powers of ten.

We created visualisation stages. We read the chapter ‘Desert’ today from our book The House with Chicken Legs. We found quotes that describe the setting and then drew a picture to match the description.

Our favourite poem this week was ‘What Me Mudder Do’ by Grace Nichols

Another great week in Room 23!

Have a lovely weekend everyone,

Miss McIver
