Our week in Room 7 πŸπŸš—πŸ‘ΎπŸ°

On Monday the boys and girls were exploring the Hickory Dickory Dock rhyme- we made our very own finger puppets to sing along with and were surprised to learn there were other animals after the mouse! We also made our own clocks and did a little bit of work on time.

On Tuesday we revised our Common Words by playing the ‘find it’ game on the C-Touch, we also became dance choreographers and worked together in teams to develop our own dance routines. We have been learning lots about real life algorithms as well as using the iPads to code simple games!

On Wednesday we finished off our road safety competition posters where we had highlighted the importance of ‘in car safety’- fastening your seatbelt, using a booster seat and keeping calm and quiet whilst the car is in motion. In the afternoon the boys and girls enjoyed some active numeracy through cutting and sticking activities and group games.

On Thursday we had a topic afternoon and were able to label parts of a castle, we then combined this with our work on the visual elements of art to create fantastic black line drawings of castles!

On Friday we used the iPads to develop our Numeracy skills and also had fun playing with the small world castles and knights!

Another busy week, all the boys and girls have worked super hard and I am very proud of them! Please make sure to check Google Classroom for our Meet The Teacher video and photos of this week’s learning.

Have a wonderful weekend πŸ™‚
