  • What a week it’s been in Room 19 !

All children have worked extremely hard this week and have learned a lot!
We are still working on our class novel Charlie and The Chocolate Factory and we have applied our Metalinguistic Reading strategy to help us figure out the meaning of tricky words we came across. Ask the children what words they learned this week. Phoneme’s taught this week are ‘wr’ and ‘ae’.

For Numeracy we have continued our work on addition and also started developing strategies for subtraction.

During ICT this week, the children worked with a partner to research where chocolate comes from. They took notes from what they found and created posters to summarise their findings. Ask them to tell you what they learned.

Things got a little messy during a Science experiment on changing the state of chocolate from solid to liquid.

‘Meet the teacher’ presentation is now on Google Classroom. Glow log in cards have been sent home today.

Have a lovely weekend

Miss Tighe
