Magical Maths with Room 1

In Room 1, we are math-magical and enjoyed exploring symmetry and data handling for World Maths Day. We explored how symmetry can be found in nature by creating our own beautiful butterflies.

We then took our learning outside, where we collected different items and made a tally graph to see how many we had! We think that this is a fabulous way to count larger numbers. We wonder if we can extend this learning in our homes? How many cups do you have? How many pieces of fruit and veg?
