Newton Farm Primary School and Nursery Class

What a week in Primary 7!

What a return to learning we have had in room 17, I can’t believe that we’ve been back for 3 whole weeks!

We rounded off our Natural Disasters topic by learning all about a very famous volcano called Mount Vesuvius in the ancient city of Pompeii 🌋 We then put our new found knowledge to the test and wrote imaginative stories about the day Vesuvius erupted! The children were so descriptive in their writing it felt like I was there in that moment in time!

In numeracy we have been learning all about algebra and challenging ourselves by solving equations and finding the missing number.

We participated in lots of different activities to help raise our awareness during Autism awareness week. We had some fantastic discussions and even shared some personal experiences too.

Finally, we can’t forget about Easter! We learnt all about Easter traditions in France 🇫🇷  (the flying bells received a mixed reaction) and Mrs Webber and P7 created some fantastic cross stitch Easter eggs!
