Newton Farm Primary School and Nursery Class

Phased return for pupils in Nursery and P1-3

We are very pleased to now have arrangements in place for the phased return of our Nursery and P1-3 pupils.  I know our pupils will be very excited to be coming back and I’m sure parents will be very pleased too.  Our staff will welcome the pupils back on Monday and continue the learning they have previously been posting online.  Google Classroom will continue in P1-3 for homework but all teaching will now be provided face to face with pupils.  P4-7 pupils and staff will continue with remote learning but we all have our fingers crossed that you will be able to be back with us again soon.  We are all very proud of how you are coping with this way of learning and will continue to be here to help in any way we can.

As we will have around 450 children coming back into the building next week, we do ask all adults to please adhere to the safety procedures in place and follow the guidance set out by the Scottish Government to keep us all safe and well.  Further details on this are included in the letter below.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I am looking forward to seeing lots of happy faces on Monday😊.

Phased return Monday 22nd Feb

  1. Are the school busses running as normal from Monday?

  2. Hi, can you please advise what parents of more than one child should do at drop off/pick up? Do both children drop off at the same time or do we wait around for the separate drop offs. Also, are all children being dismissed from the front door or are siblings still being dismissed together?

    • As listed in the letter, all P1-3 pupils will be admitted and dismissed in stage groups. They will all exit by the front door at staggered times with their class group. Hub pupils have their own entry / exit area. We would ask parents of more than one pupil to drop off the children at the times listed to allow pupils to stay in their class bubbles. This will mean you have to wait a few minutes for the next group to be called.
