Newton Farm Primary School and Nursery Class

Room 7 Round-up

Another busy week in Room 7, we started off by taking our Numeracy outside and had fun exploring number out in our playground.

On Thursday we took part in a Dinosaurs Live lesson from the National Museum Scotland which was super- we learned about how fossils were formed and even got to look at some dinosaur poo!

Towards the end of the week we had a visitor at our classroom door- a beautiful yellow breasted bird that we later found out was a Grey Wagtail. After doing some research we were able to find out that due to it’s colouring, it was a female bird and that it is quite a rare sighting- red on the RSPB conservation list! We decided to help out our animal friend by making bird feeders out of lard, muesli and bird seed.
