What a busy afternoon in P4/5 today. When the class arrived back from lunch a Christmas Tree had appeared in the pod!

The class were told that they were going to be decorating the tree. However, they had to work together to give clear instructions on how to do this 🎄🎄

We had many giggles as the class soon realised that perhaps their instructions were not as clear as they thought they were going to be. Miss Kelly was asked to spread the baubles on the tree so she was spreading a bauble like butter on one of the branches. Miss Napier was asked to wrap the tinsel around the tree, so she wrapped her arms around the tree and left the tinsel where her arms were.

When the class realised they had to be a lot more specific with there instructions we wrote them into our writing jotters as a piece of instructional writing. Once this was completed, the children were able to follow there own instructions to place a bauble on the tree.
